About Us
Our Story
Our teams have decades of experience and have been working together across different projects for more than ten years. During that time we’ve seen a range of organisations, agencies and corporations struggle to understand what it really takes to become leaders in sustainability, regenerative initiatives, ecocentric and/or nature based governance, and to implement effective strategies to address the environmental and social justice challenges they face in their day to day work and management strategies.
We created Ecocentrix to provide the expertise, insight and thought leadership needed to thrive in today’s complex and challenging environmental and social landscape.
We’re the experts you need to succeed.
Founded by Rick Martinez and Cynthia Maples in 2018, Life in Spectrum is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children with ASD and their families worldwide have a better life.
What started as one ASD dedicated daycare in Gladstone, Oregon, has since transformed into a cross-country network of volunteer operated daycares specializing in caring for children with ASD. In addition to daycares, the organization offers art therapy and playtime programs that can take place in any school or community center.
Life in Spectrum is funded by donations and complies with the strictest NGO financial management requirements.

Our Vision and Purpose
Vision
To be the catalyst for the transformative change that places sustainability, regeneration and nature based governance at the core of strategic planning within communities, businesses and governments.
Our Purpose
To equip individuals and organizations - businesses, governments and communities - with an understanding of nature-based governance and how it can be successfully implemented.

Our work changes lives. By opening up people’s minds to new ways of thinking and carrying out their work, our impact can be profound. Please read the testimonials below, as just some of the examples of the impact of our work:
“Sustainability Education and Partnerships at Western Sydney University have had the privilege and pleasure to work with Michelle Maloney and her team over the last three years. Michelle’s insightful, practical and professional workshops provided us with an introduction to river rights, rights of nature and Earth laws. These workshops were invaluable in setting the foundation and understanding for Hawkesbury Nepean Waterkeeper Alliance a group of educators, NGOs and local instrumentalities for how to work in culturally appropriate and respectful ways with First Nations communities across the Hawkesbury Nepean Catchment and have set us on the path of a “slow weave” of working together. I am incredibly grateful to Michelle for her sharing her substantial time, energy and knowledge."

Our mission
We are committed to helping children with ASD and their families -wherever they are- living their life with as much normalcy as possible.
In addition, we advocate ASD tailored care and education, as the means to achieve great progress and success. Our programs have proven successful in helping children with varying degrees of autism interact and socialize more. We believe there's always hope.
